Where to stay
A mini guide to spending 24 Hours in Bath, England. En route to a camp site in Penzance we wanted a stop to break up a six hour drive. So, I looked for a drivable option between Leicester and the very bottom of the UK and came up with Bath. We had never visited Bath together before and I had only heard good things, so we thought why not. Although the average price per night isn’t the cheapest in Bath, we found a super lovely apartment for a reasonable price through booking.com.
Student Castle – Bath 33-34 Pulteney Road (South), Bath, BA2 4EZ
The apartments are attached to private student halls – not that you would know. This is worlds apart from my experience of student accommodation! The location is brilliant, so you are only a 10-minute walk into town. The building and surrounding neighbourhood are beautiful and a quick walk along the nearby canal is more than recommended on a sunny evening. The apartments are super quiet, very spacious and have everything you need. The décor is way more than *Home Inspo* Pinterest worthy if you catch my drift.
Where to go for Brunch
Now you know where to stay, let’s move on to the best bit: BRUNCH. We mooched about on the internet – as we always do – looking for the best spot for breakfast/brunch and spoke to the friendly guys on reception. After a bit of googling, we came across Same Same But Different – the vegetarian breakfast menu was up to Josh’s standards (he HATES it when there’s only one option and everything is substituted for kale). I went for the French Toast with frozen berries and white chocolate sauce, with an obvious (or not) side of hash brown and Josh had the veggie breakfast with halloumi. Fantastic food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere for a chilled brunch on a sunny morning in Bath.
Now this post was extra short but hopefully sweet as our time in Bath was pretty fleeting, due to our onward Cornish road trip. If any of you amazing people have been to Bath please let me know your recommendations, as we absolutely loved our (very) mini staycation and will definitely be returning! xx
That apartment is such home goals! If you get a chance whilst in Cornwall, definitely visit the Beach Hut at Watergate Bay. It’s my favourite place, so cosy and delish food. Have a great trip! X
