Splendid little hot tub hideaway on the Llŷn Peninsula, WALES

in Europe, UK

Looking for a relaxing little mini break? Or was that a rhetorical question? Anyhow, last month, to celebrate my twenty fourth year on this planet, Josh booked the most splendid few days away in the most stunning location. So, naturally, I thought I would share it with you because honestly I absolutely loved it.  We spent two nights/three days at the Tan-y-Capel Hideaway, located on a beautifully secluded three acre spot in the tiny hamlet of Ceidio, on the marvellous Llŷn Peninsula, North Wales. Prepare yourself for a post full to bursting with all the ultra lavish adjectives, but seriously check this place out.

Tan-y-Capel Hideaway comprises a terrific hi-spec pod in a tremendously  tranquil garden, which is also home to the quaintest little chapel. Hosts Dave and Rebecca could not have been more welcoming, they had even got me a little birthday card and we were so grateful for the chilled prosecco and strawberries. The pod is located a stones throw from their house, but you would not know they were there . At present, this is the only set up for guests and the pod is set away from the house on a decked area over looking the rolling fields to Garn Boduan. Super cosy and wonderfully furnished, the pod features a double bed, little sofa, en suite bathroom and kitchenette. Everything has been thought of in this snug little space, all the local area recommendations and  the fluffiest of bath robes.

Oh and it gets better! There’s a fabulous decked area. Cook your dinner on the gas powered barbecue, flipping heck though, make sure you bring some food with you or if you’re adventuring out for the day plan your route around a supermarket because FYI the pickings are sparse on the Llyn Peninsula. We found an Asda in Pwllheli and a Tesco in Porth Madog. Tempted to book a little staycation yet? Well for good measure there is also a hot tub. Yes a hot tub. I mean that’s always a game changer for me. In a nutshell a night at Tan- y- Capel more than equates to my perfect evening: jump in the hot tub, BBQ all the burgers (Linda McCartney Mozzarella ones if you’re a fellow veggie) and corn on the cob (am I the only one that has a deep rooted love for barbecued sweetcorn?!) sip prosecco and watch the sun go down over the sea. Writing this, I am being hit with all the nostalgic waves and already thinking about booking our return trip!

Now, you have read my little adjective heavy ramble. I am guessing the best thing to do is to share the links to this little slice of heaven? Josh informs me that he booked our little getaway through Cool Camping and there is also a Facebook page. Needless to say, you need to book your stay!

As ever, thank you for reading! Please recommend any hot tub hideaway getaways in the comments, because who doesn’t need more of this in their lives?

Oh and just an added extra, this delightful little stretch of coast is just a couple of miles away!
